As web editor I upload stories and maintain day to day operations of hillsdalecollegian.com. This position requires maintenance of the comment system and tweaking the website layout. Finally, as web editor, I edit, compress, and upload both video and audio.
Mackinac Center for Public Policy 2010 - 2010 Research Intern
As a research intern I was tasked with editing, compressing, and shooting video. I also provided transcriptions of audio files and video files when needed. Beyond that, I conducted interviews both on site and over the phone. Finally, I researched influences on our public policies, such as public education, Federal Aviation Administration laws and regulations, township budgets, and the business life-cycles of Hollywood movies.
Washington Examiner 05 / 2009 - 07 / 2009 Web intern
As an intern, I helped to maintain the Examiner’s story stream and comment section by using Clickability. I also helped expand the Examiner’s website growth, its blog contact sheet. I occasionally wrote opinion pieces, conducted interviews, and took photos.
